Michael Gray President

35Michael Gray joined Herk Global in 2014 as President to increase the sales and marketing effort of the Company, especially as it relates to the government sector. Michael has over 20 years of experience working for the U.S. Federal government, holding various leadership positions with the U.S. State Department and U.S. military. Prior to joining the Herk Global team, Michael founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of GRT Mobile Solutions, a software business aimed at servicing the government sector. Michael’s experience has opened new inroads into government sector services, allowing Herk Global to modify C-130s into Multi-Mission Modules capable of handling medical, firefighting, and various other specialized tasks. Michael graduated from Boston University with a Masters degree in Government studies.

lDan Scanlon – Operations Manager

ScanlonDan Scanlon is the founder and Operations Manager of Herk Global. Dan began his career in the aviation industry as an Airline Captain for American Airlines, where he accumulated over 20,000 flight hours. Following his time with American Airlines, Dan turned to the aviation maintenance industry and has held various management roles over the previous 38 years, including overseeing Herk Global operations. During his time in the industry, Dan has obtained his Mechanics Inspection Authorization License and Flight Engineer License, among many others. Dan graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from Northrop University.

 

 

 

Phillip EdinboroughChief Engineer

PhilPhillip Edinborough is the Chief Engineer at Herk Global and brings over 30 thirty years of experience in the aviation industry. Phillip began his career in the aviation industry with the Royal Air Force, where he specialized in servicing Harriers and Phantom Fighter Jets as well as C-130 and L1011 aircraft. Following his time with the Royal Air Force, Phillip spent over 8 years working for Lufthansa providing heavy maintenance services on B747s, B737s, and Airbus A320 aircraft. Phillip later went on to form a private team of aircraft engineers qualified to service Boeing, Airbus, and McDonald Douglas aircraft and traveled the world providing heavy maintenance and MRO services to a variety of airline providers.

lKen Van Dyke – Lead Mechanic

Ken Van Dyke joined the Herk Global team in 2012 as Lead Mechanic with over 40 years of experience servicing aircraft. Ken began his career in the aviation industry with the United States Air Force as an APG Mechanic inspecting and returning C-130 aircraft back to service. Following his time with the United States Air Force, Ken held various mechanic roles with Lockheed Martin working almost exclusively with C-130 aircraft, spanning a 25 year career with the firm. Ken has a strong focus on high quality service and an extensive background directing C-130 maintenance and repair operations.
